Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) white sugar
  • 1 cup (250g) peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (113g) Crisco shortening
  • 1/2 cup (113g) margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
  • 3 cups (375g) flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla
  • salt

Directions :

Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C).

Mix the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat the butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the flour mixture, beating well after each addition.


Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches (5 cm) apart, on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Flatten in crisscross pattern with a fork.


Bake for 8 to 10 min or until cookies are golden. Let cookies cool for 5 min before removing them from the sheets and placing them on racks. Let them cool completely.
